"As for Melanistic Spangle, it has not been determined yet whether this is an ordinary Spangle subjected to modifier genes or whether it is a new mutation (perhaps an allele of spangle). They originated in Australia many years ago and are generally culled by breeders here as undesirable. There is considerable variation in the markings of these birds and the ones displaying the darkest (almost normal) wing pattern but retaining the clear spangle tail have been called "Cleartails". The term ClearTail I believe was coined in Israel. It is not a recognised variety as yet. If somebody is calling these Danish Dominant( I haven't heard of this) then it would seem pointless since the Melanistic Spangle started in Australia."
@ Flori: Bin mal gespannt auf df Cleartails !
